Blanket Rib Stitch

Sample knit with Malabrigo Worsted on US Size 10 needles

I love how this stitch looks in the Malabrigo worsted!  This little sample was so soft and squishy in my hands; what a wonderfully snuggly throw this stitch would create in Malabrigo worsted.

Work on a multiple of 2 + 1

Row 1: (RS) Kfb in each stitch    (knit into front and back of same stitch)
Row 2: K2tog *P2tog, K2tog*

Repeat these two rows for the pattern.  Super easy, super fast.

Crow's Foot Stitch

Sample knit with Caron Spa on US Size 6 needles

This is very similar to Bamboo or Wrapped Stitch; the only difference is that you are passing a slipped stitch over the knit stitches instead of a yarn over.

*If you are unfamiliar with any of the abbreviations below, you can find them in the tab at the top of the blog*

Work on a multiple of 3 + 1

Row 1: Knit all stitches

Row 2: K1 *YO, Sl 1, K2, PSSO*
Row 3: Purl all stitches

Repeat from Row 2 for pattern

Embossed Bell Motif

Sample knit on US Size 6 needles - Patons Classic Wool that I dyed myself

You can space the bells any way you like; in my sample I worked with 18 stitches, and knit the first 6, made a bell, knit 6, made another bell, then knit the last 6.

SKP = Slip next st purlwise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over
K = Knit
P = Purl
K2tog = Knit 2 together
P2tog = Purl 2 together

Motif is worked on six stitches, on  a reverse stocking stitch background

Row 1: (RS) P to bell position, cast on 6 for the bell, P to end
Row 2 and all WS Rows: K background sts, P bell sts
Row 3: P background sts, K bell sts, P to end
Row 5: P background sts, when  you reach the bell sts: SKP, K2, K2tog, P to end
Row 7: P background sts, when you reach the bell sts: SKP, K2tog, P to end
Row 9: P background sts, when you reach the bell sts: K2tog, P to end
Row 11: P background sts, when you reach the last bell st, purl it together with next st on left needle, P to end
Row 12: K

Repeat these 12 rows for the pattern
