7 stitch panel
Row 1: purl
Row 2: k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1
Row 3: purl
Row 4: k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk
Repeat these 4 rows for panel pattern
My sample has 2 reverse stockinette stitches between the panels; you can space the panels as wide or narrow as you like, and you can also use garter stitch, stockinette, seed stitch or even a cable between the panels. Depending on how you are using the panel, you may want to add one or more stitches to the beginning/end of the row to neaten things up.
