Star Rib Mesh


The sample above was knit with my soybean yarn (available soon!) on US 10.5 needles.  The swatch has been blocked.


Multiple of 4 +1

Row 1 and 3: (WS)  Purl
Row 2: k1 *yo, sl 2 kwise, k1, pass both sl sts over, yo, k1
Row 4: ssk, yo, k1 *yo, sl 2 kwise, k1, pass both sl sts over, yo, k1* end yo, k2tog

Double Basket Weave Stitch

Sample knit with Kollage Milky Whey on US Size 3 needles

This is a nice stitch, and even though it is eight rows, it is easy to remember and works up fast.

Cast on a multiple of 4 plus 3

Row 1 and all odd Rows: Knit all stitches  (RS)
Row 2 and Row 4: *K3, P1*, end K3
Row 6 and Row 8: K1 *P1, K3*, end P1, K1

Repeat these 8 rows for the pattern.

Little Plait Cable

Sample knit with Lighthouse Waves on US 10-1/2 needles
This is a super simple, super quick cable stitch.  It's also easy to remember, because it is only four rows!

Panel of 10 stitches

Rows 1 and 3: (WS) K2, P6, K2
Row 2: P2, Sl 2 to cable or DPN and hold in front, K2 from left needle, K2 from cable or DPN, K2, P2
Row 4: P2, K2, Sl 2 to cable or DPN and hold in back, K2 from left needle, K2 from cable or DPN, P2

Repeat these four rows for pattern.
