This stitch looks great in any weight or fiber, but I think it would look absolutely fabulous in a slinky, drapey fiber like tencel for a summer stole! Soybean or silk yarn would also be nice for a summer project.
Depending on how you use this stitch, you may want to add some stitches to the sides to neaten things up. This would make a great scarf, or border on the bottom of a sweater. So many possibilities!

Multiple of 4 + 2
Rows 1 and 2: knit
Row 3: k1 *knit, wrapping yarn 3 times before dropping from left needle; repeat from * to last stitch, k1
Row 4: k1 *sl 4, dropping extra wraps; slip these 4 long stitches back to left needle and k1, p1, k1, p1 into all 4 together before dropping from left needle; repeat from * to last stitch, k1
Rows 5, 6, 7, 8: knit
Row 9: knit all stitches, wrapping yarn 3 times before dropping from left needle
Row 10: knit all stitches, dropping extra wraps
Repeat these 10 rows for the pattern.

I love this stitch. I would live to make a vest with it. However, it is not clear to me how you would add any kind of a border with the extra long dropped stitches. Could you give me a clue?

Susan Chambless you could make the border/edging separately and attach it afterward, or crochet the border on.
Hi, this is Gabriella - I became confused with the elongated stitches. Once what is the difference with the yarn-over stitches at the Peruvian stitch, SeaFoam Stitch etc. Once we wrap around before knitting the stitches , another time we stick the needle into the knit stitch, make the wraps and than knit that stitch.
Can you please advise?
